Week 5 Term 3 Updates

School is open tomorrow, we have our L2 protocols operating. We are cleaning tables, chairs and door handles at each break time as well as at the end of the day.

Mr Macmillan has sourced some food and it will be available for those families who are in need. It will be in the Church car park tomorrow, please take some if you need it.

Hopefully the weather will stay calm so we can launch our Wonder Rocket prototypes this week. I'll share some photos and videos.

On Friday we sent home devices for some students, can they please make sure they come to school tomorrow, charged and ready to be used. The book packs can stay at home for now, just in case they are needed in the future.

Midweek (Covid-19 L2) update

Last evening the other Totara teachers and I travelled to South Auckland in preparation for visiting a school today to explore how they are using project-based learning. Obviously with the Covid-19 alert level rising we simply left early this morning and returned to school.  We didn't arrive in South Auckland until late last night and left this morning without interacting with anyone - interesting times.

We will be changing the way we do things in school and in class to help keep everyone safe. Please read today's newsletter for the full explanation.

We have started our Wonder Rocket building. We need more 1.5 litre plastic bottles, plastic and cardboard.

This reading group read a play very well earlier in the week.
